I would like to know how to find the URL for content items I've created.

The base of the link will be http://YOUR-SITE-HERE/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=ID-OF-ARTCILE-HERE

The id of the article can be found in the content listing view of your administrative interface.  The view you are taken to right after saving a content item.
