Topic: Publishing from frontpage fails

I installed a new 4.8. pack that works fine apart from an little bug I indicated earlier.

Now I have updated a 4.6.3 production site to 4.8. and found a new glitch.

If a publisher wants to write and publish from the frontend, the publish and metadata tabs don't work. They just scroll the page to the topend. So there is no publishing from frontend. The new 4.8. installation mentioned above doesn't show this behaviour.

Any ideas?

thanks for the report baerdel, we'll look into this ASAP.. possible causes are:

1.) Upgrade did not complete or some files were not added/overwritten or replaced.. possibly due to file permissions/ownerships
2.) Missing file(s) in the upgrade patch itself
3.) Cached JS not yet updated to the recent js files..

We'll look into all angles and let you know

Sorry for being silent, I am still working on this one. Permissions are ok, and it doesn't look, as if any files are missing. I'll report, when I find a solution.

PS: I just upgraded a second production site to 4.8. Here I have no problems publishing from the frontend. So it is definitely not MIA misbehaving but an upgrade error on my side.
Does anyone have an idea, where to look for missing js scripts? (Just overwriting the folders with the patched ones did not help)

Just a little update to my last post: Up to the moment I did'nt find the reason for the bug (no publishing from frontside) but I narrowed the problem field. It's not a problem of Mia 4.8. itself but is related to a specific template. Only with this template this glitch appears in 4.8. but not in 4.6.5
I've got the suspicion that it has to do with the handling of the ahover and onclick pseudoclasses, but I am not sure.
I'll report later this week.
