BlueTurtle is a new company that is directing its efforts on raising awareness about and working towards the elimination of marine debris specifically, the accumulation of plastic in the North Pacific Gyre known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. BlueTurtle will be focused on education, source elimination and cleanup of our oceans and beaches.

We need a logo, something iconic like Nike, that is quickly recognizable and easy to print black on white and white on black. Also the logo must include the actual words BlueTurtle that could be used as a separately (with capital B and T and no space between the words).

The logo must reflect BlueTurtle’s desired growth and vision, and we need a graphic treatment that will represent BlueTurtle’s identity. All submissions are due by June 12th, 2009. A $300 prize will be awarded to winning designer, as well as BlueTurtle silver membership. Send submissions to [email protected].
