Topic: Category: New [Content] javascript issues???

Hello all... thanks to Neil, I have discovered Mia and have converted my Mambo 6.4.5 installation without a hitch! It seemed to be a very smooth upgrade until I began working with my content manager trying to add New Category. For some reason, the Save and Apply icons have stopped working. Upload, Cancel and Help all seem to be working fine. Yes, I verified that the new MIA admin GUI is running. Luckily, my site is still in production so the issue is not critical but without being able to add new categories, I am afraid I am at a stand still.  I also seem to be getting the 'Site is down - Code 2" error more often than with Mambo but I think that may be a MySQL issue on my hosted dedicated server.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Try upgrading MOStlyCE and/or disabling editor compression in MOStlyCE Admin.  There was a bug with the version included with 4.6.5 by default.

As for the database issues the best place to start troubleshooting is probably with your host.  We have made a few changes to the database class in the pending 4.8 beta based on counterpoints suggestions which should help improve database connection handling.  You can test out those changes with the current version now if you feel up to applying this patch - this patch.

Fabulous! I reset MostlyCE, cleared my browser cache - AGAIN! And it seems to be working perfectly now!

I'll give the MySQL patch a go and let you know how that works.
